summer memories

as we say good-bye to summer, i wanted to remember some of my favorite moments:

+ strawberry cheesecake blizzards
+ breweries + food trucks
+ boating on indian lake in ohio with the family i grew up next door to | parks' first boat ride
+ beach trips
+ turning a year older in june
+ being able to spend celebrate my sister's birthday with her
+ roadtrips
+ saturday mornings around our house; billy holiday, cinnamon rolls and this candle (love)
+ watching parks in the pool- he's always so happy splashing
+ trips to the farmer's market
+ iced coffee and fresh flowers
+ a 'girl's weekend' with my forever friend, renee
+ celebrating friends' new marriages
+ mommy + me yoga class and walks
+ campfires and s'mores
+ morning coffee + watching parks swing in his lil singlets swing on our back patio
+ organizing and purging more things in our nest
+ getting to spend an entire week with my brother in august
+ watching fireworks
+ stopping at every lemonade stand i saw

despite the weather this summer in the carolinas being beyond hot; like really hot. with no relief. it was maybe (probably) a favorite yet in so many ways; probably because it was my first one as a mom. yesterday the weather was cool and crisp ... and you better believe i put on the chunkiest sweater in my closet and enjoyed my first pumpkin beer in two years. so glorious. {the beer was called gorgeous by noda brewing company | brewed right here in charlotte} today, we are introducing parks to his first official 'game day!!' i grew up cherishing college football and i hope he does as well. go buckeyes!! oh, the memories made in ole' columbus town. they are some of my very favorites.

i am participating in the blogtember challenge with bailey jean
i have already loved discovering new blogs and sweet people - just three days in.
...
hope you all had a memorable summer; one to remember

  3. It has been beyond hot here in Texas as well! I turned a year older this June (hello, 30s!). Boating, fresh flowers, fruit desserts, girl weekends, and beach trips all sound so fabulous!
